LIFE

It has been a crazy few weeks. Robert is doing physical therapy for his hand and working, Brian is doing Jr Jazz basketball and a science project for the science fair, as well as homework and his social life. He has become a little butterfly. Robert calls him a "player" because at such a young age he is already discovering girls...help! He is only in 5th grade and 11 yrs old! This one is starting young. On the other hand, Robert is spending as much time as he can with his girlfriend before he leaves. Oh my...we can't live with them or without them....boys or girls.
But that is life.
Gio has been busy with work! There is always change and sometime not good. Hopefully things will go okay at his job. They have been talking about restructuring...and we all know what that means...usually not good news. All we can do is hope for the best. It's life.
JetBlue is going great. They made a huge profit this past year and have hired a bunch of new people over the past month or so. We are transferring over to a new reservations system this weekend. There has been a lot of training for this, and there is also a lot of stress involved too. I work on Saturday morning which is the first day for the new program...I have to admit that I am very stressed!!! We are on OT for a month, but it won't be too bad...I am thankful to have a job, and that's life!
Robert leaves in 32 days. We are going out to buy all his stuff this weekend. We haven't been able to buy the suits, etc before now because of his hand, but seems that things are going better now! I can't believe that in a month he will be gone. There are some days when I think...thank goodness he is leaving soon, but then other days I get sad and cry just thinking about it. So many mixed emotions. I wonder sometimes what he is thinking inside that mind of his. I remember how I felt before I went into the MTC, but he isn't totally in the dark about Italy or the language. I know that he will be okay, but I am sure that he is scared, nervous, etc...how could he not be.
All that Brian can say is, I get his room and bed while he is gone! Silly little boy! He will really miss Robert! We all will....
but that is life and part of growing up!
We went to the temple a few days back with Robert and his friend Coulton and it was so neat to be there with those two boys. WOW!!! We are so lucky to live here, and for Robert so have such great friends. There aren't many places where you can go and where all your friends go on a mission and that you can all go to the temple together. What a great blessing.
Not to much else is going on. Today there is sunshine outside. Finally! It has been so gray and overcast and terrible outside with poor air quality, but today almost looks like spring! Thank goodness!
Even with the ups and downs we really do have a great life and we are so lucky!

HAPPY 20 YEARS!

Today is our 20 year anniversary. Gio is at work and I am about to start in 30 min or so. I am using my work computer right now so I don't have pictures to upload. That will have to wait for another post another day, maybe Thursday.
However, I couldn't let today pass without telling my wonderful husband how much I love and adore him. I am so blessed to have him as my eternal companion! I love him as much if not more today than I did 20 yrs ago when we were married.
Since it is 20 years today I thought I would write 20 reasons why I love him and why we are so happy together!
1. He makes me laugh
2. He cares for me
3. He honors his priesthood

10. He is a great example to our children
11. He is a great kisser! I still remember the first one!
12. He treats me like a queen
13. He would do anything for the kids or myself
14. He takes care of our families needs
15. He is honest
16. He has integrity
17. He is a hard worker
18. He pays the bills so I don't have to
19. He loves me unconditionally
20. He accepts me how I am with faults and all.

I love you sweetheart! Happy Anniversary!

BUSY

It has sure been a busy week for it being the first one of the year. We have taken down all the Christmas decorations and gotten the house back to normal. There was house cleaning to do and laundry to catch up on (that I'm still doing now). Also there were still a few more pictures and visa and passport pictures for Robert to take and send off. I think that by the end of the week all of that will be taken care of.
Robert got a letter from his mission president telling him about Italy and the mission. He is ready to go. I think these 3 months have been long for him. Today he went to PT for his finger. He is now able to take his brace off for showers and he loved that. He has another exercise to do and says that it is a bit uncomfortable, but progress is being made and that is the most important thing!
Brian started Jr Jazz practice over Christmas vacation and has his first game on Saturday. We are looking forward to a new season. He has his first ballroom dance competition in a few weeks and is excited about that (he is taking ballroom as his fine arts choice in school this year and loves it!) We also have been looking for Science Fair projects for him as well. I have a feeling that when Robert leaves we will still be busy, but that is good so we won't miss him as much! All Brian can say is, "I get Robert's room and his bed!"...LOL
Gio and I are busy with work, church, home, kids, etc. The usual. Work for me will get hectic in the weeks to come. We will be switching over to a new computer system and it will keep us busy for a while. Remember all the training at 530 in the morning in SLC, well, the big day is about here! Thank goodness that I love my job.
It is great because for the next for months I'm able to go to church without having to find people to cover for me, thanks to my new schedule.
This next week Robert will be 19 and more "presents"....missionary stuff like watch, camera, etc...then suits in the near future....oh my this boy is costing us $$$$, but worth it!
The weather has been cold and terrible air quality. It is winter in Utah! I'm not ready for spring yet, but I think I will be soon. Someone asked if January was a sad and depressing month, but I really like January. I love the newness of a new year, and it is Robert's b-day, our anniversary (20 yrs this year), and I am looking forward to all the changes that will occur within our family this year!
2010...bring it on, we're ready for it!
