We just wanted to bring everyone up to date as to what is going on at our home. Robert was waiting to hear if he was accepted or not to BYU here in Provo and he found out yesterday 2/20 that he has been admitted. We are so proud of Robert and his accomplishments. He has worked very hard during his high school years and it is amazing to think that in three months it will all be over and he will start a new chapter of his life. BYU is a private university that is owned by the LDS church and you must meet rigorous standards to be admitted. Being accepted to a university isn't easy and Robert has been accepted to 4; BYU-Idaho, Utah State University in Logan, Utah, University of Utah in Salt Lake City and BYU in Provo. He has narrowed his choices down to the "U" and the "Y" and he now has 30 days to decide his future...that is a lot to ask of a kid.
We will be attending some seminars at the U and speaking with faculty members at both universities so that Robert can get a better feel as to what is the best option for him.
He is going to study nursing and then is thinking of becoming a PA or going for something more lucrative in the nursing field. It will be a stepping stone for whatever his future will be. Both schools have excellent programs and that is what makes it even more difficult for him to decide.
He has asked us several times what he should do or what we would do, and this is one time as parents that we are not trying to push him one way or another. It is his choice and his future. We have told him that this is when he needs to do a lot of fact finding to know more about each university and to also get down on his knees and do some serious praying to have some guidance.
We know that what ever he does decide that he will do an excellent job. We have full confidence in him and his abilities. He will be a great success!!!
It is sad for us to see him grow up, yet at the same time we are so excited for him and for his future.
We know that his Grandma is looking down from heaven and she is very proud of him too. I know what her advice would be....She would say it's a no brainer Robert...go to BYU and be a cougar

Kids activities - Attivita' dei figli
I received feeback from my family members that it is hard to understand what we are talking about, if english is not known...so going forward we will write the message in English and Italian.
It's amazing that the first 2 months of the year are almost gone. Even though we have experienced a few changes, some things are constant in our lives. Robert and Brian have enjoyed playing basketball in their relative leagues while in school. Judi had fun being Robert's "coach" and the team loved her, especially for the pre and post-game meetings with cookies and video games.

Brian is proud of his team because they are undeafeted! He is also looking forward to next Saturday when we are going to see the Utah Jazz play against the Hornets. It will be fun!! Judi is looking forward to Feb 22nd, when we are finally able to see the previously postponed concert of Celine Dion.
Going back to Robert, in January we celebrated his Birthday with a surprise party at his friend's house. More then 60 kids showed up! We are glad that he has so many good friends that love him!

Finally Robert in February had a good time at the Sweetheart dance with Kourtney and a group of 20+ kids.

It's great to see our kids growing and enjoying life's experiences. We love all of you and think of you always!

Judi Found Her Rainbow!
Usually it is Giovanni who write's the blog....and puts in the pictures, music, background etc...but I thought that tonight I would write down a few thoughts that I've been having...
It has been an interesting few weeks since I was laid off from my job...I had so many different feelings and emotions that I've never felt before..the main one being that I felt like I was a failure or had done something wrong to merit being laid off...but now I know that isn't the case at all.
I am so thankful to a husband who loves me and supports me and wants for me to be happy.
I have always said that I wanted to be a stay at home mom and spend time with the boys and just do things for them. I'm actually having that opportunity now and I'm so thankful for it.
Robert will graduate on May 28th and a whole new chapter in his life will start and life as we know it now will change. I really feel like the Lord has given me this chance to be here when he is here and to share some time together. Afternoons when he comes home from school and it is just the two of us here are something that I'm grateful for, and I really enjoy hearing about his day at school, about his friends and most of all just seeing him laugh and smile..They are moments that I will cherrish forever...if I was working I wouldn't have that time with him everyday...
I'm also here in the mornings with Brian to just "give him attention and cuddle" as he calls it. To see him laugh and get goosebumps when I tickle him bring me such joy. He too is growing up so fast and soon maybe he won't want to "cuddle" anymore so I'm glad we can do it now..I cherrish our time together to watch "Fresh Prince" and laugh for a few mintues before he walks out the door to catch the bus...
The Lord really does know what is best for us and I really feel like this is a blessing that I've recieved..to have this time with my children and also to dedicate some time to me..
Most of all I'm thankful to my husband for working so hard and being such a support to me and for caring about me and making sure that I'm okay..He is my strength and most of all he is my best friend. After 19 years of marriage I can honestly say that I love him as much if not more than I did 19 years ago and I'm so glad that our family is an eternal one....
I wrote on one of my friends blog that it does seem like when it rains it pours, but in the middle of the flood there is always a rainbow to be found, and I have found mine.

Choices...choices...choices

Family and friends...I have to say that our family enjoys the change that allows Judi to be a "full time" stay at home mom! We have been very busy during this season applying for scholarships and waiting for answers from the different colleges that Robert applyed to. Well...finally we have received answers and Robert will need to choose between the Utes, The Cougars, or the Aggies. What's it gonna be? We will found out pretty soon but we are very proud of Robert accomplishments.
