I am sure that I have written many times about how thankful I am that we live where we live and how lucky our boys are to have such great friends! Everyday this is confirmed even more by the small things that happen.
I was brought to tears today by one of Robert's friends, Mason. We were both on face book at the same time and so I decided to chat with him for a few moments and give him an update on Robert and he was doing. (go here to read his letter). Also letting him know that we all need to get together and have dinner one evening.
As we talked I proceeded to tell him how proud I was of him and all of Robert's friends who are on missions or preparing to go...that because of all of them he is serving now. Mason told me that his letter to Robert that just needs a stamp on the envelope to go in the mail, basically said the same thing to him. That Mason was thankful to Robert and his example. What a great group of boys!
We also heard from Coulton who is in Greece and just got there a few days ago. He is doing great! I thought of my mother, and how happy she would be to know that he is there in "her country". I hope that he will have the chance to go to Athens to serve so he can look them up and share the gospel with them.
I was thinking where they are all at right now and the great step that have taken. Thank you boys for being who you are. You are also such a great example to Brian. He wants to be just like all of you! And that would be just fine with me!
Last Sunday, Beau came over for dinner. He is one of Robert's good friends too. Just waiting for his call! It was so fun to have him over. He and Brian played some Xbox 360 and we had some great Italian food for dinner!
On another side note...work for Gio is going well. He seems to like it and $20 for gas for one week was amazing! Life is great right now, and I'm sure that it has to do with Robert and his service. And also us trying to do our best. We are getting better at the scripture reading and FHE, family prayers, etc...
Today I have tears of gratitude. I have a wonderful husband, two great sons. I have a testimony of the gospel and my heart is full. I am truly blessed.
