I am so proud of my boys! All three of them!
We have had to make some adjustments these past few weeks with Gio going back to work after being off for several months. I forgot what it was like to have to cook, clean, do laundry, and all the other things that need to be done everyday! And make sure that Brian is where he needs to be as well. Gio is doing well with his job. He seems to like it, though he says the training could have been a bit better...but I know him. He is resilient and will be just fine. He loves the "new" car. It cost $20 in gas for the week. Our van used that much in one day! What a blessing!!!
Brian is finishing up 5th grade! Yahoo! It has been a super year for him. He has done so well and learned so much. He took his last SRA a few weeks ago and passed off 8th grade. That means that his reading, writing, comprehension, etc are GREAT!!! Good job Brian! This year he has been working for something very special! We told him at the start of the year if he turned in all his homework, got good grades, was never late, and only missed school if he was "really" sick, (with permission to miss when Robert left on his mission)...that he would earn something really special! He has wanted a Wii for about 2 yrs now. And on Friday he will finally be getting it! He is so excited! He deserves it! Great job Bri! Let's hope that 6th grade will go just as well!
Robert is doing fantastic on his mission! We are so proud of him. He has been gone 12 weeks today, and has been in Italy for 3! The time really is going by so quickly! In the past 3 weeks he has had 2-3 friends go into the MTC and two that are waiting for their mission calls! How cool is that???!!!
He sent home a great email today that brought tears to my eyes...he challenged two young men to be baptized! Go here to read his letter. He is really getting that true missionary spirit!
Tomorrow night is graduation for PHS. I can't believe that one year has passed since Robert was walking to get his diploma. Tomorrow night another group of his friend will do that right of passage walk! Congrats to all of them!
On Friday we will have been in our home for 11 yrs! Where did the time go? It seems like we just moved here and it seems like we have been here forever. We feel so blessed to be in this neighborhood and to go to the church ward that we attend. The kids have had great schools and wonderful teachers. We have made wonderful memories here and I'm thankful for these 11 years and hope that there are many more to come.
Life really is B*E*A*U*T*I*F*U*L
