HAPPENINGS IN OUR HOUSE

There has been a lot going on at our house this past week or so. We had a lot of school festivities going on and it was fun to see Brian enjoy his last few days before his summer break.
About a week ago there was a fine arts dinner/talent show so of course Brian had the opportunity to dance again, though it is a bit harder on grass. Some of his friends did some musical numbers as well.

Then one afternoon I took Brian and his friend Kache to Macey's for an ice cream. The decided they were hungry so they got the Kong Cones..oh my!!!

Then the last day of school Gio and Brian decided that they would wear their World Cup Soccer shirts! They looked so cute as twiners!!!

Brian has really worked hard this year at school. He was never late, and only absent about 5 times...Twice because of Robert...going into the MTC or calling us from the airport, and 3 times because he was really sick! Also he turned in 100% of his homework and on his SRA's he completed through 8th grade! Great job Brian! Because he did work so hard and kept his end of the bargain..after school was out we went shopping! And he got a BIG reward! Can you even guess what it is????It use to be only white, but now it also comes in BLACK. And of course we had to have the newer version!

We got a few games as well...Mario Kart, Naruto, and it comes with Wii Sports and Wii Resort.
Then for Mom, and Brian too....Wii Fit Plus!
It is so much more fun than I thought it would be. We have had to move the coffee table to one side of the room so that we can play all the games...but I really love it!
We also went to see Shrek 4! It was such a cool movie! I think I liked it as much as number one!
And that is strange, because usually the first is the best, but this one was great!

Then Gio had this bright idea that we could hike up to the Y. Now, it is more than obvious that I'm over-weight and not in the best of shape. I can walk on flat ground pretty well, but mountains....No way!
But Gio had been so great about the Wii, that I wanted to do something for him.
Well...let's just say that my goal is to make it all the way to the Y by the end of the summer and to loose
20 lbs by the time school starts in August. That is the first goal!
There will be more, but that is the start!
I did take a few pictures because the view was breathtaking!
What a beautiful place we live in!

Then we went to the cemetery to take flowers to my mother, Martha. And to my grandmother, YaYa!
There was also the field of dreams at the Orem City Cemetery.
It was a reminder of the many that have given their lives for this great country we live in
and for each one of us, and our freedoms.

Today after church we went for a drive in the car and stopped by the BYU sign.
For those of you who don't know, we aren't big BYU fans.
The school is great, but for sports, we usually cheer for the "U".
So to get a picture of Gio under the sign was a once in a lifetime opportunity!
Brian is a BYU fan ever since Austin Collie and Max Hall
were our neighbors.

Of course, not matter what we were doing this weekend, our thoughts were also in Italy with Robert.
In fact, as I sit here writing this post I am fully aware that it might be 10:30 PM here,
But in Italy it is 6:30 AM on Monday morning, and Anziano Bona is just getting up to start the day!

We love you Robert and are so proud of what you are doing!
Can't believe that you will be gone 13 weeks on Wednesday!
