Easter Sunday and Spring Break

This last week has been fun for our family with Easter and spring break.
Last Saturday we went to my dad's home for an early Easter dinner. Aunt Peggy (dad's sister who lives in Sandy) came down and Dave and his family minus Ryan where there as well. We couldn't do the Easter egg hunt because it was raining an windy outside, but just the same it was nice to spend time together as a family.

On Easter Sunday the weather was nice and sunny so we went up to the Provo Temple and walked around the temple grounds with the boys. It was so nice and peaceful there, and the view of the valley was beautiful. We really are so blessed to have a temple only 5 minutes from our home.

We started spring break with a blast by going to Tucanos to celebrate my new upcoming job with Jet Blue.

Then on Thursday Brian went to the hot pots by Fillmore with a friend and his family for the day. Gio, Robert, and I went to SetteBello Pizzeria in SLC for a great Italian pizza, then Robert and I went to see Fast and the Furious. I only went because Robert wanted to see it, but it ended up being a really good movie.

On Friday we went to see 17 Again, (that was Gio's pick, Brian wanted Hannah Montana). I am not a huge Zac Efron fan, but it was actually a cute show and had some good morals. I actually left the theatre pleasantly surprised.

From there we went to the Sandy Aquarium. Brian has been wanting to go there for a while so we took the opportunity and went. It was so interesting to see all the different species of water creatures there. The jelly fish were beautiful and the sting ray's were amazing. Gio and Robert were brave enough to touch them. Brian and I were content to watch them.

We ended the day at Golden Corral. The kids love their Mac and Cheese and say it is the best around. Brian loves the fact that when we go there he can eat all the dessert he wants.

It was fun to spend time together as a family. It doesn't happen to much between work, school, and everyday life, so when we get the chance we enjoy it. As Robert grows older it will become even more difficult so it is nice to make the memories while we can.

This next week our memories will be made doing some work around the house and in the back yard getting things ready for graduation and Pino's arrival from Italy. We've played hard and now we get to work hard.

Hi Judy! So fun to find you in blog land!

I love that you still can do fun family things with your boys! I keep telling Jim about all the cool things we'll do with our kids when they're older and he grumbles that they won't want to ever be with us, but only with their friends. Glad you're proving him wrong!

Crity....it is hard to do things together..sometimes Robert has to be forced, or we just really try to plan ahead. After he graduates who knows, but I sure hope so.
