Let the sport season begin...

Well family and friends...it is that time of the year. School will start next Monday, August 18th. With that we will enjoy another sport season: Robert will play for the Provo High School Bulldogs, while Brian will start pretty soon Flag football.

Brian is a very versatile athlete and he plays basketball, soccer, flag football and baseball. Last Wednesday we went to the Owlz Baseball game. He had a lot of fun practicing his swing and catching.

Robert is playing football for the first time during his senior year. He is getting banged up pretty good, but he enjoys the fringe benefits of being part of the team.....the "Cheerleaders" with side show entertainment

Robert, Brian and Lauren at Lagoon

Lagoon day: Judi and Brian's victory over the fear of heights

On Saturday August 9Th, we spent a day at Lagoon, an amusement park located north of Salt Lake. Robert and Brian had the opportunity to bring a friend with them. Robert enjoyed the company of Lauren, a cheerleader from Provo High School. Brian had fun with Danilo, a kid that leaves in our neighborhood. We had a lot of fun, challenging our selves with all the rides like the "Wicked", "Colossus" and the "Rocket", just to mention a few.

For the first time - ever- Judi and Brain overcame their fear of heights and rode with us the "Rocket". The yelling was great but, at the end, it was worth it!

On Saturday July 26th we took the boys to Park City, Utah for the day. Robert's friend Anthony also came with us. We call him our "other son" because he is part of the family. He and Robert have been friends for 3-4 years now (if not longer) and play football together at Provo High School.
The drive to Park City was beautiful! The mountains were green and there were so many boats at Deer Creek Reservoir and the water was so blue!
Giovanni, Robert and Anthony went on the ZipRide. There was no way that I was going on it (I have an issue with heights!). Giovanni said there was a beautiful view from the top.

The Bobsled

Then we went on the bobsled ride. We had to take the ski lift to the top of the mountain. It really was beautiful, though I didn't look down too much! :) The ride down on the sled was fun. We each had our own and could control the speed.
The last ride we went on was the funniest for all of us, it was the rollercoaster ride.
Each person has their own "car" that they can regulate the speed on, and down you go! Brian and Giovanni went together, and then the rest of us had our own. I'm not much of a rollercoaster person, but the next time we go, I'll go a little faster. It really was fun!!!
That's what life is all about, having fun with the family and making memories!
