Life is like a box of chocolate: you'll never know what you gonna get

Aint' that the truth? One of our family most favorite movie is "Forrest Gump".
In one of the most touching scenes,Forrest says: My Momma always said: "Life is like a box of chocolate! You'll never know what you gonna get".
Well, yesterday life threw a "curve ball" at us since Judi just found out that APX alarm had more then 150 lay off. She was one of the "unlucky" people to be let go.
It hurts because Judi had put a lot of passion and dedication in her new position. She really liked the company and the people she worked with. Unfortunately this is America where dreams can be built and broken during the same day.
The way I see it, APX alarm lost their best employee. We will be just fine because through challenges we have the opportunity to grow and learn.
Again, after all, we don't have to forget that "life is like a Box of chocolate: you'll never know what you gonna get!"

Ninenteen years and counting...

Dear family and friends,
this new year has already brought us several reasons to celebrate. On January 15 our "little" boy Robert turned 18! Can you believe it? Then today January 20th we are celebrating our 19 year wedding anniversary!
Last week we celebrated both of these events with a quick weekend getaway in Vegas, where we had the opportunity to enjoy each others company, have fun together and check out 2 shows in Vegas: the Tournament of Kings at the Excalibur and a Magic show at the Tropicana.
In 19 years we have changed physically :-) but our love for each other and our kids never changes. I guess that is why Families can be Forever.

Below you can see a few pics from "memory lane" and then some pictures from our recent trip.
